  • Born in Aki city, Kochi Prefecture in 1925. 1947, graduated from Tokyo Art School (current Tokyo University of The Arts), Design Course of Crafts Department. In 1969 he became an associate professor at Tokyo University of the Arts and studied Arabic / Islamic pattern. 1970 Staying in the Arab countries as a foreign researcher at the Ministry of Education. He first worked on "Arabic calligraphy" in Japan and published the "Beauty of Arabic script" which covered the masterpieces of Arabic calligraphy in 1976. Professor of Tokyo University of The Arts in 1978.
