ABOUT
The Romang Collection was founded by Gustavo Romang, a scholar and passionate collector of Asian art. Holding an Honorary Doctorate, a degree in Eastern Studies, and a Master of Arts, Gustavo has dedicated over 35 years to academia, lecturing and teaching in four countries worldwide. His deep appreciation for Asian culture led him to merge his scholarly pursuits with a lifelong passion for collecting fine ceramics, woodwork, and rare antique books.

As a dedicated collector, Gustavo travels extensively, with annual visits to Japan, where he has cultivated personal relationships with artists, gallery owners, and curators. These connections allow him to acquire rare and exquisite pieces directly from the source, ensuring authenticity and historical significance.

Today, the Romang Collection boasts over 1,500 works of art, ranging from antique and contemporary ceramics to exceptional wood lacquerware from Japan, Korea, and China. Each piece reflects the craftsmanship, history, and cultural heritage of its origin.
